Thursday and Thank You

First of all, thank you so much for reading!

Second, I am watching Idol right now and Iggy Pop is on shirtless. What the hell is going on there? Ok moving on…

I woke up this morning early enough to have breakfast before class, that was fabulous. I like to eat right when I wake up and I hate sitting through 2 hours of class hungry. Then the rest of the day I took TWO yes two naps, totally 5 hours. Decided to take the day off from the gym, there is so much good television on tonight! … I may also do some homework tonight, that is a novel idea…

Diet was again too may mini reese’s cups… I should probably just start eating more frequently and then I wouldn’t want candy. Calories are still in check and I am not hungry… not sure if that is related to my anxiety medicine or not. I was thinking the decreased appetite side effect would be gone by now, but maybe not. Anyways here is the breakdown for today:
calories: 1196
(42f, 110c, 93p)

Also I’m still looking for workout programs to do, so I appreciate your suggestions!

Sleep

So I was dragging ass all day today. Woke up at 7:40 for my 7:50 class. Thank goodness I only live two blocks away! Then I came home and took a two hour nap. Back to school for a speaker from Switzerland on the UBS secrecy situation and US tax evasion. (It was actually really interesting) Then I lounged on the couch, watched “Kings of Pastry” (the competition to have to top pastry title in the world is fierce!), and then took another nap. AMAZINGLY, after Idol, I got my butt off the couch and went the gym!

I did 45 mins on the bike and broke an okay sweat. I like the bike because it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on my hip. (FYI, I had major hip surgery in march 2008 for bone spurs, torn labrum, and torn cartilage… my hip has never quite been the same.) I’d like to move to something more weight bearing soon.

Also, I’m looking for lifting plans to start next week? I’m thinking of trying the Occam’s Protocal from Four Hour Body, but I am open to suggestions. My gym has a very small lifting area, but a lot of machines, not really my cup of tea but I guess I can make it work.

Diet wise… today was kind of blah. After yesterday’s stomach fiasco, I had a bagel for breakfast today. There is some danger living across the street from a grocery store… Then i had a salad at my speaker with only a dab of dressing. Then I had 10 mini peanut butter cups and 2 cookies. Oops. But I am working very hard on saying that is okay and not throwing away the whole day because I had a sweets craving. Anyways, I’m forcing down a protein shake now. I know I should eat something but I am so not hungry.

Tuesday – DuesDay?

I had a lot of stress and anxiety today. I came home from class this afternoon and the plan was to go the gym before therapy but I got a major case of diarrhea. (tmi?) So I decided to put off the gym until tomorrow. And I had a package of saltines for dinner. However calories were still good today.

Gym – a sucess!

I went the gym! I did 30 mins on the bike, it was pretty easy, but I figure you got to start somewhere!!

Diet today was:
Bfast: 2 eggs, 1 egg white, 1/2 oatmeal
Lunch: chicken breast, broccoli, flaxseed oil
snack: protein shake
Dinner: chicken breast, black beans w/ tomatoes and corn

Calories: 1031
(29g f, 75g c, 106g p)
I know this doesn’t sound like much, but I had to force down dinner.

I know I haven’t posted in forever, but life got stressful and the weather was REALLY cold and I stopped going to the gym.

The Friday prior to spring break I was down 16.5 lbs. Three weeks later I’m only down 11.5 lbs but I hope to fix this bump up quickly (like in 2 weeks).

I’ve started to include oatmeal in my diet, I just couldn’t get through the day on beans alone. Once I’ve added that I’ve generally had no problem keeping my calories down. For example, my menu for today is only at 1000 calories.. trying to think what I can add to that. Granted, I didn’t get out of bed until 10:30 this morning, so maybe less calories is okay.

Plan tonight is do 30 minutes of cardio after class. I think the workout plan is to do 5 cardio sessions this week (just to get my lungs working) and then enter into some kind of lifting routine next week. Not sure which one though.

Anyways I am going to make an effort to post everyday and I hope you read along!

Monday – Week 3

I won the first weigh in on my weight loss competition! I lost 3.17%(7lbs) and my brother lost 2.85% (7 lbs)! YAY!!!

I had a huge cheat day and was up 3.5 lbs on Sunday morning. Today I was still up 2 lbs, but I’m expecting that to be off tomorrow. Friday I bought PAGG stack, so we’ll see what effect that has this week. So far the biggest things I’ve noticed is more consistent energy and bowel movements.

I went to bar method today and will go tomorrow. Next week I want to aim fro 4 -5 days of exercise.

Wednesday I am traveling to see my boyfriend for 5 days. This should be interesting since he eats every meal out and has essentially no food in the house. I bought a box of low carb protein bars to make sure I can have breakfast everyday while hes at work.

Overall, I’m feeling positive, if I can loose 14lbs a month consistently I’ll be thrilled.

Cheat Day List: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a box of chocolates, donuts, fries/burger… maybe a latte too.

I’m so ready for cheat day, only one more day to go.  I’m pooped, I could go out tonight but I’m tired and everyone has already partied hard, plus my first competition weigh in is on Saturday.  I want to win $10 not pay it to bother.

I’m down a total of 7 lbs. (i did take a laxative last night, but not sure it did much… )

I am so hungry

I am so hungry, that is all I can think today. I’ve had my usual snacks of almonds and a protein shake, but I am still hungry!  So now a large cup of coffee in hopes that will suppress the appetite.  I know one isn’t suppose to be hungry on this diet, but I am.  I guess I can start eating more veggies or more beans.  I eat so many beans…  its okay I’m not sick of them but I cannot imagine eating more.  Maybe more salads?  I know my calories are low, so it wouldn’t hurt to eat more.

I haven’t lost any more weight yet, but hopefully tomorrow…

I was going to go to bar method class today but  I had a stabbing headache and it is really snowing outside.  (also my stomach has been cramping up) So I’m going tomorrow.

Sunday Calories – 1146 (37% f, 30% c, 33% p)  with 31g fiber

Monday Calories – 1340 (36% f, 22% c, 42% p) with 25g fiber
